New Discovery??? Polymorph?? Solvate??

Yeap 9am - 5pm in the lab everyday without fail has already made me a wacko ...... Currently trying to update my results and looking forward to go back to the lab 2 moro to tok to my beautiful crystals hahaha ......

Well the discovery was on the Foil transmission X-Ray Powder Diffraction when Althizide was saturated in 5ml of 1,4-Dioxan and left in the cold room to crystallize ....


Dats the IR pattern for the compound with the raw material in blue and the crystals from Althiazide + 1,4-Dioxan in red ....

Yes 1st up TIS BLOG IS NOT DEAD YET ..... lolxx sounds so pathetic ..... well must first of all thank Christine's parents who were up here in during the holidays. Thank You very much uncle n aunty especially for the dinner, gifts from ur trips and the fruits =P n dont worry I m sure we ll do as what u've told us in the letter =)

Before that we made a surprise party for Rosie hehe since her birthday is on the 31 December so the plan was well there wasnt really a plan coz Rosie already knew we are celebrating her birthday for her but then again things can always change hehehe =) Rosie kononnya not BLUR huh .... we did everything UNDER HER NOSE lolss ..... while sum of us were sort of accompanying her till 12am on the 30th December, some of the guys we hiding in my room to DOUBLE SURPRISE her hehe n then again Rosie had 8 presents hidden by Adeline in her own room ..... YES Rosie ur room is messy hehe ... she took bout 13 mins to retrieve them =P Hope u did enjoy urself gal

So how u think we spend our New year?? Glasgow Square and all fireworks + night activities were CANCELED due to the bad weather lolxxx seriously it even gave Christine s parents a fright as when u try walking against the direction of the wind u seem to be blown backwards and then again to make things worst it was raining cats and dogs all day long ...... besides i still remember clearly aunty question "Has there been reports of anyone being BLOWN off by the wind??!! " wa i didnt knoe we re living in such a dangerous area oo hehe

Anyhow i hope that aunty and uncle had a great time here in Glasgow ...... For now i ve been spending loads of time in the LAB making more n more crystals and subjecting them to tests lolxxx and if anyone say s its easy yes i would say its not tough but then its exhausting 9am m- 5pm in the lab with just an hour of break .....

Even my dad was questioning me when he caught me on 9 during lunch break as he tot something had befall me. Besides, it seems that the internet connection in Asia was seriously terrible as it was affected by the Taiwan earthquake lolxxx .....

Well for now i dun think that we would be seeing any snow at all not even this year as the weather is not getting colder instead the temperature is rising and there s sun almost all afternoon ...... lolxx wats goin on here i tot i could experience sum winter see sum snow but then ..... =_+"" haizzz .... anyhow i ve put my name in for the SKI trip organized by Vanessa hehe hopefully it ll give me sum break time and also a great experience in snowboarding =P .... okie dats it for not gtg update my results haizzz stupid crystals ...... cchungww out !!
