New Discovery??? Polymorph?? Solvate??

Yeap 9am - 5pm in the lab everyday without fail has already made me a wacko ...... Currently trying to update my results and looking forward to go back to the lab 2 moro to tok to my beautiful crystals hahaha ......

Well the discovery was on the Foil transmission X-Ray Powder Diffraction when Althizide was saturated in 5ml of 1,4-Dioxan and left in the cold room to crystallize ....


Dats the IR pattern for the compound with the raw material in blue and the crystals from Althiazide + 1,4-Dioxan in red ....

Hmmmmm i consider us to be seriously VERY VERY LUCKY lolxxx .... almost everything is frm Malaysia .... infact everything including the "Bing Tong" lolxxx .... thank you very much aunt and uncle for sending it over to us =)
