A pLaCe fOr ThE hOmElEsS sOuLs...: SCOTLAND i m ere =P

Yes I finally got my internet connection in Glasgow. It s been a torture with no internet excess fer 5 darn days. Hmmm would like to also thank Chee Yin fer dropping by to send me off at the airport wa very kam dung oo didn’t expect u to come summore gimme present =) Thanks a lot like the present oo =P but soree didn’t get to tok to u much as my luggage was SUPER overweight soree ooo …..

Well u may ask how was the trip there… well …..it was my worst 13 hour flight to Glasgow as I was eating virtually nothing but bread & lots of fruits & water due to very bad air sickness (god knoes why). Well nothing much, felt much better once I m down the darn plane & away frm the food smell & plane smell as it all contributed & worsen the air sickness ….. Anyway my parents are always worried aka kan cheong aka trying to find out wat I m up to next hehehe ….. Hopefully they re not now since I can finally pm them on messenger …. Ritez I hope everyone is fine back at home esp my darling Leing Long & Tortoi …..

Well the 1^st few days in Glasgow were interesting the weather ere is nice hmmm wat I ate fer dinner u may ask since we didn’t had any time to get anything frm the senior while unpacking our rooms ….. hehhe dun worry wont starve le …. We were served wit FREE Nasi Lemak around 4 pm (Glasgow time) after a short orientation frm a great great great x 6 grand senior hu won the Mc Million Award (hope I get the spelling rite). Then around 5.30 pm we went to Tesco Metro which was a 15 min walking distance to buy breakfast & lunch fer at least 2 days stock up dinner well. After dat it was more cleaning & unpacking of my room (duno why the others were already unpacking when I was still cleaning …. Darn am I jus too fussy over cleanliness & neatness???)

2^nd day we needed to register ourselves wit the doctor at Townhead Health Center a 10 min walk frm our campus after dat to the library (5min walk) fer briefing at 1pm….Lot of walking u ll be saying but then we went on a Treasure Hunt to look fer HSBC bank in George’s Street not too bad only a 15 – 20 min walk depends on how fast o slow u walk then off to RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) hehehe ….. Then around 6pm 3 seniors showed us the way to Tesco Extra (25 min walk yes 25 min & we had to carry all the heavy stuff back frm shopping @_@) n the passersby were staring at us when we went there as we looked like a heard of ducklings following a leader & on the way back they stared again as we were carrying lots of stuff in our hands …… swt …. Yes would also like to thank Yee Lian a senior hu taught us how to save on buying TESCO brand stuff hehhe so most of our bills came out to be around zero point something pence (0.XX p) hahaha =P

Okie example:

1) Dish washing liquid – 13p fer 1 L

2) Soap powder – £1.49 fer 3kg

3) Ham - £1.08 fer 30 slices

4) Corn flakes - £2 fer 2 boxes (banana crunch & muesli)

5) Milk - £1 fer 2.27 L (can last fer 2 days fer 4 ppl eating breakfast)

6) One loaf of whole meal bread – 28p

7) Toilet roll – £1.14 fer 6 rolls (no choice got to get sum fer the 1^st time super exp aka hu ever hu visits me pls buy me more toilet paper & GARLIC)

PS: fer those hu are not use to doing house work o carrying heavy stuff pls dun try coz I m already feeling a pain on both my shoulders as I was carrying stuff in my hand & my own stuff in my backpack +(

3^rd day still having a bit of jet lack always waking up in the middle of the night lolxxx but last nite was great manage to sleep without any small noises I hear frm outside (such as ppl opening & closing doors & toking) probably due to the weightlifting exercise -_-# frm Tesco Extra ….. Got back frm Mc Cane building (5min walk down Richmond Street) wit my ID & yes I look like an idot hu s not wake up in the pic lolxxx. Anyway, hu gives a dam I m only gonna be ere fer another 422 days =P but I might miss the nice weather ere darn …..

4^th day, the whole batch took a trip down to Mathew’s aka a Chinese Town kinda of shop where only Chinese food n herbs & whatever u can get back in Malaysia are there lolxxx … it’s a 30 min walk down there & yes we manage to get RICE =) hurray but it was 10 kg fer £4.30 okie rite?? Well one of the seniors hu brought us there manage to get us an extra 5 % discount + Oyster sauce free with any purchase made (example: even if u only buy one packet of Maggie Mee u still get 1 bottle of Oyster sauce) hehehe nice leh ….. Then later on we proceed down to a Charismatic Church where we were given refreshments & toilet breaks =) yea the pastor & ppl there were very nice they offered to bring our rice & heavy stuff back while we take a slow walk back sightseeing in the city ……

Well it was SUPERBLY HOT Saturday & guess wat I ve still not manage to get onto INTERNET =-( only manage to get to the page where its says “Pls enter ur username & password” Yes it DOESN’T work at all =( charm cannot on 9 again NOT MY FAULT oo blame the LAZY IT staff in Strathclyde lolxx. Then again wanna apologies to my parents didn’t knoe they stay up all night till 3am jus to wait fer me to get on 9, luckly they sms Ching Ying’s phone then I call them back. Thou it was already 11pm & I tot they would already be sleeping soree ooo …. Pls dun punish me by roasting my Leing Long & boiling TorToi sup oo I bet they dun taste nice either so pls cook something decent to eat oo …… lolxxx

5^th day woke up around 8am cant sleep duno why lolxx…. Hmmm went to West End Parade took sum pics =) but the walk there was 2 hours walk lolxx I refuse to pay £2 to take the Orange Circle Train coz I find it a waste of money jus to get there & c a parade pay so much no thanks le rather walk there kinda of nice weather too so not too bad jus fer the experience of wat Glasgodian’s do during their free time =P

So verdict, I DUN think I ll be getting a sim card unless I really need one its:

£10 fer the sim card with only £5 credit

Every sms = 20p

Every call to Malaysia = £1 per min

Yes I have a phone in my room hehe & calls made within campus are free = P

Something frm the 70's??? We drop by in Farm Foods to stock up more meat which are much much MUCH MORE cheaper then TESCO but then again very FAR oooo @_@
